Meredith Doench is the author of the Luce Hansen Thriller series from Bold Strokes Books.

Crossed, the first in the series, was published in August of 2015 and placed second in that year’s IndieFab Awards for the mystery genre (Silver Award). Crossed was also awarded the Nancy Dasher Award in 2017 from the College English Association of Ohio. The second novel in the series, Forsaken Trust, was published in May 2017.

Doench’s short fiction and nonfiction has appeared in literary journals such as Hayden’s Ferry Review, Women’s Studies Quarterly, Lumina, Gertrude, and many more. She was one of the founding associate prose editors of the literary journal, Camera Obscura: Journal of Literature and Photography.

A native Ohioan, Doench holds a BS in Special Education from Ball State University, an MA in English from the University of Dayton, and a PhD from Texas Tech University in English/Creative Writing.

Doench currently resides in Dayton, Ohio where she is a lecturer at a university in southern Ohio teaching composition, literature, and creative writing. She may be reached at MeredithDoench@gmail.com
